Bazooka started as an old school euro-influenced thrash band and still sticks to this fierce and raw style now. Experiencing lineup change, Bazooka's present lineup is Po-Wei(guitarist), Vic(bassist), Spike(vocal)and Curseomind(drummer). In my opinion, although not as a professional omniscient metalheads, people know Taiwanese metal scene or have their first impression through now world-famous ChthoniC, and it has influenced, both the local audience and band, the taste of How a Taiwanese metal band sounds like. Never is this a big deal to me, though.(even I can talk tons of trashtalk about this bizzare metal scene and how the macho atomsphere make me uncomfortable for hours.)ChthomiC is never part of the scene and it would never intend to, I guess.

On the other hand, Bazooka makew sense to me for the practice of DIY attitude originating from punk culture, from recording to cover design, booking their own shows and support our gigs even we can't afford to pay them much. Members of  Bazooka do have a wild range of taste and know clearly what sound they would like to bring out. Po-Wei is an addict to crust punk and old school metal bands. He is also a gothic and post-punk lovers. Spike has his solo goregrind band "Rampency." Vic is in a brutal death band called "Revilement." their music is simple yet raw, and they bomb you with its great riffs. Personally I think their live performance is of much more fun than their album, for the energy, the incredible speed they play the instruments,  and the chemistry between members.

Those guy are so active in the scene that they organize gigs(Raw Noise Attack series, Liberated Rhythms and Tiger-hunting), play in bands(Bazooka, Revilement, Total Disruption, Rampency), open up the very first crust punk shop in Taiwan, performs with veteran bands such as Abigail from Japan.  In 2009 Bazooka was signed by Metal Inquisition Records and release the first album "Toxic Warriors." They are interviewed by magazines such as Terrorizer, and they receive quite a good review for the album.
